Uthe children's tent installed in Rossio was removed by the authorities this Friday. The complaint arose on the social networks of the organization of the Lisbon Camp, in which the organization explained what happened.

“ Every day, the Lisbon Camp organizes the Children's Space, a self-organized space with activities for families. We publish daily the ‘Crianada na Campada’ with the programming: dance, library, creative workshops”, begins by reading in the publication shared on social networks.

The organization then states that around 6:10 p.m. today Public Security Police (PSP) agents “came to order the removal of a toy”.

“The toy in question was a little toy for children. A toy tent. For kids. The police mobilized for this. With the justification that it was the superior orders they had, because there can be no tents on the public road”, details the Lisbon Camp.

It is also questioned, in the description of the publication, that you can see below, if “a space designed for children and families is a threat to public order” and is justified the “arrivement of several PSP agents to interrupt children playing?”

In the video shared on Instagram, Left Block leader José Soeiro used his Instagram account to comment on the situation: “A hymn to ridicule”.

A user on social network X (formerly Twitter), identified as Gonçalo Filipe, shared also images of the moment, a publication that the MP of the Left Block, Fabian Figueiredo, commented with an emoji that represents the astonishment.
