O leader of the PS today challenged the Prime Minister to make possible the proposals of the socialists for the lease, having answered that the Government refuses to “do nonsense” in an area where it does not see the “minimum authority” to the socialists.

In today's biweekly debate, PS Secretary-General José Luís Carneiro opened with the theme of housing and accused the Government of "great insensitivity", insisting on the revision of the urban lease law, on which he had already challenged the Government to drop the written agreement he made with the Enough.

“ It is or is not available to enable the proposal that presented the PS because it is the only one that boosts the rental market, safeguards the interests of the owners and protects the younger tenants and particularly the older ones ", Carneiro asked Luís Montenegro.

In the answer, the chief executive assured that the “Government is always available for political dialogue and even for negotiation” as long as there is an understanding “on the way to achieve the results”.

“Now, in the area of housing, the PS does not have the slightest authority,” he said, considering that “all the constraints that Portugal is living today in the area of housing” are “in many cases more aggravated by the policies of the PS”.

For Montenegro, the PS leader “has not yet been convinced that the policies of the Socialist Party have led to the situation” that the country is currently living in housing, which makes the “dialogue very difficult”.

“ Availability for negotiation and dialogue we have all, but to make mistakes we do not have”, the Prime Minister justified.
