O socialist leader today challenged the prime minister to “put the rent law in the drawer” and build with the PS the public guarantee proposed by the party, considering incomprehensible if the government does not hear the “public cry” about housing.
“ This framework leads to the demand of the Prime Minister – it is the parents who demand it, it is not the PS – to drop the bill of rents that led to the Assembly of the Republic and for which he had the support of IL, AD and Enough. After putting this law in the drawer, who agrees to discuss, dialogue, build with the PS the public guarantee that was presented by us in the Assembly of the Republic ", challenged José Luís Carneiro.
The secretary-general of the PS spoke to journalists at the end of the National Secretariat of the PS, which today meets before the National Political Commission of the PS.
For José Luís Carneiro “it would be a sign of misunderstanding, insensitivity, unacceptable indifference that the Government does not take into account what is happening with the public cry of different generations” in the demonstrations on housing.
