Flavio campaign manager says there will be no “revenge” to the Supreme Court

Rogério Marinho made this statement after a meeting with the president of the Brazilian Supreme Court, Edson Fachin, at which time, he said, dealt with “the excesses” of some judges with “monocratic decisions”.

The Liberal Party (PL), of Flávio Bolsonaro, presidential candidate, and Marine, senator, won most of the 81 Senate seats in the general elections, and from February 2027 will occupy 28 seats.

“ We also came to tell the judge that we will comply with the Constitution and the law. That we have no spirit of vendetta. On the contrary. That we want to rebuild the country, we want to normalize the relationship between the powers ", highlighted.

“ We want the separation to be indeed. It is not possible that society has the perception that the judicial [system] is an extension of the government. This is bad for Brazilian democracy (...) We want impartiality, respect for institutions, the rules that are established ", highlighted.

At the same time, Rogério Marinho, appointed by the Liberal Party (PL) to be a candidate for President of the Senate, in the internal elections of February, signaled that this body, contained, will not omit over the excesses of the Supreme Court and its judges.

“ But at the same time we make it clear that at the time there is some crime of responsibility for a Supreme Court judge, the Senate will not omit — and today it has been omitted. The Senate of the Republic today, unfortunately, is omitted ", declared.

“ Revenge doesn't mean omission. We have neither vendetta nor revenge. Now there will be no omission. The Constitution is clear”, repeated.

“ We have three harmonic and independent powers among themselves, but there is no absolute power. And the crime, or the sign of crime, committed by whoever it is cannot be covered by corporatism ", concluded.
