Russian Security Council Deputy Chief Dmitry Medvédev today alerted the United States of America (USA) to the consequences of possible plans to block the development of the Rassvet satellite, a Russian analogue of Starlink.

“Ithis would trigger a large-scale space war”, wrote Dmitry Medvédev on social network Telegram.
The former Russian President (2008-2012) thus reacted to the news of a possible request from Kyiv (Ukraine) to Washington (USA) to impose sanctions on Rassvet satellite developments, known as the Russian Starlink.
“ I hope the Americans understand, because then their Starlink satellites, in low orbit, would fall like adornments of a wilted Christmas tree,” added Dmitry Medvedev, known for making incendiary statements.
He added that “space is a very small place” where “mutual respect is essential”.
