A Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones during the last morning causing one dead and eight wounded, as well as damage to buildings and infrastructure in three districts of the Ukrainian capital, local authorities said.
The Ukrainian Air Force stated that Russia launched a large-scale air strike using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and 269 drones.
According to the Air Force, Ukrainian defenses destroyed or neutralized 243 drones and four missiles.
Attacks were recorded at 25 locations, and the debris from targets that were shot down fell at eight points.
The Russian Ministry of Defense today stated that it carried out a “massive attack” against targets in Ukraine overnight, employing high-precision weapons and attack drones.
The list of targets hit in Kyiv includes a data processing centre, a logistics centre — identified as Fire Point, where components for Flamingo cruise drones and missiles were stored — an industrial drone component manufacturing facility and a locomotive storage facility where missiles were stored.
A factory that, according to the Russian ministry, produced materials for the military industrial complex was also hit in the Kyiv region.
Russian forces attacked a high-sea cargo ship 130 kilometres southwest of the port of Odessa, which allegedly carried Ukrainian war material.
In the Desnianskyi district, in the capital of Ukraine, the attack damaged a private clinic and one of the city's metropolitan stations, Kyiv City Military Administration reported in a publication through social networks.
In the same area of Kyiv, educational institutions and a sports complex suffered damage after the crash.
In Solomianskyi district, a fire broke out on the third floor of a health unit located inside a 25-story residential building.
Emergency teams were able to extinguish the fire, according to the military administration.
The attack also caused damage to windows in neighboring buildings and a shopping center.
