“ Afollowing today’s Zelensky statement, the attacks by the Russian armed forces on military installations and the military industry, as well as against infrastructure related to them, in Kiev and other regions of Ukraine,” notes a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, quoted by the Efe agency.

For Moscow, “Zelensky has full personal and political responsibility for this”.

The ministry “remembers that it is launching massive attacks on Kiev and other Ukrainian regions specifically in response to the actions of the leader of the Kiev regime”.

The Russian military still accuses Ukrainian forces of launching, during the night, “a deliberate terrorist attack on residential areas of the city of Belgorod, where there are no military facilities”.

“ As a result of this attack, there were civilians killed and injured, while apartment buildings, private homes and private vehicles suffered damage,” he added.

In an interview released today, Volodymyr Zelensky admitted that Ukraine intends to intensify attacks on Russian refineries.

On Saturday, Zelensky said that in the 24 hours before Ukraine hit targets in the Samara region, located about 1,000 kilometres from the Russian-Ukrainian border.

“ Our sanctions reached the Samara region, as well as the positions of the occupants operating Iskander missile systems in the Bryansk region,” Zelensky advanced in his social network X account, where he also mentioned “results” in the Black Sea.

The Ukrainian President often uses the term “sanctions” to refer to long-range attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

On Friday, an attack by Ukraine with drones aimed at a refinery and a large fuel tank, considered the largest in Europe, belonging to the Russian state consortium Transneft, also in the Samara region.

The Russian military offensive in Ukrainian territory, launched on 24 February 2022, plunged Europe into what is considered the most serious security crisis since World War II (1939–1945).
