The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) today placed under orange warning the districts of Beja and Setúbal due to the possibility of thunderstorming and heavy precipitation.

O warning is in effect from 11.26 and until 3 p.m. today.
According to the information released today by IPMA, there are favorable conditions for the occurrence of thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, hail and bursts over 90 kilometers (km) per hour.
Setúbal and Beja go on yellow warning from 3 p.m. today.
Still under yellow warning, since 11:26, are the districts of Évora, Santarém, Lisbon, Leiria, Castelo Branco, Coimbra and Portalegre.
In these districts, there are favorable conditions for thunderstorms, local heavy rainfall, hail and bursts between 70 and 90 km per hour.
These warnings are in effect until 9 p.m. today and are based on the probability of thunderstorms occurring.
