Um partner and adept of Atlético de Madrid died “after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest when entering the stadium, before the game” with the Coruña Deportivo, in the Metropolitan stadium, the host club said.

“ We want to sympathize with the pain of the family and friends of a partner who died after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest upon entering the stadium before departure. The club's medical teams did everything they could to revive him, but it wasn't possible. Rest in peace”, published the club, on social networks, on Saturday.

The report of the referee José María Sánchez, who directed the match, notes that “at the interval of the game he appeared” in the arbitration room “the National Police Security Coordinator, accompanied by the Director of Security of the Atlético of Madrid and the Director of the League Game”, informing the referees “that an adept had died in the stadium outside the bench area”.

“The National Police Security Coordinator told us that the departure could continue, with no impact on its development. The fact that we recorded for the proper effects”, adds the report, published on the portal of the Real Spanish Football Federation.

Atlético de Madrid won the Coruña Deportivo, for 1-0, in a meeting of the 10th day of the Spanish Football League, approaching the Barcelona leader, in the antecamera of the first classic of the season.

Julián Álvarez pointed out the only goal of the match, at 48 minutes, extending the invincibility of the Madrid Atlético in the championship and reducing the difference for the Barcelona leader in only two points, on the eve of the classic with Real Madrid, third ranked.

The ‘colchoneros’ confirmed favoritism and dominated the first part, but had to break the difficulties imposed by Deportivo, who managed to discuss the game and was close to scoring for Amatucci, but Jan Oblak denied the goal to the Italian.

On the return of the resorts, Diego Simeone moved the team, launching Le Normand and Giuliano Simeone and offering Atlético greater capacity to press, which ended up bearing fruit shortly after, with the only goal of the match, pointed by Julián Álvarez, with assistance from Grimaldo.

In the discounts, the Deportivo had two opportunities to stall the duel through Kevin, but Oblak did not falter and hold the victory of the Madrilenes.

With this victory, the Atlético de Madrid, second ranked, strengthened the position in the title fight, now adding 25 points, minus two to the Barcelona leader, while the Deportivo added the eighth consecutive game without winning and is in the 10th position, with 11.
