Mariana Rocha Assis made a new post on her Instagram page revealing that she was admitted to the hospital after “a few days ago she started getting the right side of her dormant body”.
In the hospital, and after several tests, the athlete remains without a concrete diagnosis, but did not put aside the probability of being “AVC/AIT”.
“ For those who don't know what's going on, a few days ago I started completely out of nowhere getting the right side of the numb face/half paralyzed. Shortly afterwards it also went to the right arm and leg and then I thought that maybe it was not exactly something to “wait to see if it goes on”, he reported at the beginning of the publication he made this Wednesday, October 7, on his Instagram page.
“I called an ambulance and they were amazing and super fast. I went to the hospital, I did CT, analysis and an absurd amount of tests and ended up being hospitalized at Egas Moniz, where I continue ", he said.
“ At the moment I continue with the right side of the body dormant and still laugh a little crooked, but otherwise I am well, conscious, walking, talking normally and being me, unfortunately for those who are here to have to put up with me”, updated later.
“ They still don't know exactly what happened, and so they're investigating several hypotheses. CVA/ITA is not yet completely ruled out, but they are also investigating other neurological, inflammatory causes and even something that may be related to the spine,” he said.
“I’ve done CT, analysis and 1,000 neurological/motor/reflective tests. Today I did more specific antibody tests that were sent out, tomorrow I have MRI and Friday I have lumbar puncture. So right now I am basically making the full premium pack of the SNS”, he added, taking advantage to thank the entire medical team that is accompanying her.
“ You've been five stars to me, super alert, and above all, you've had an absurd amount of patience to put up with me. I really feel very well accompanied.”
“ And in the middle of all this, I also had one more confirmation that I have the best friends and family in the world. They don't leave me for a second, they show up, they call, they text me, they make me laugh, and they make it all so much easier. So don't worry. I'm fine, I'm in the right place, we're investigating everything properly and eventually we'll understand what it is ", highlighted equally.
“ Until then, it's just another completely unnecessary episode to add to the book: ‘The chaotic life of Suri before 30’. At this rate there will be several volumes”, he said, showing good humor despite the less good phase he is going through.
