O SinDGRSP recalls that on 16 September last in Diário da República the ordinance on reviewing the careers of reintegration and updating the risk supplement, which represents the “blame of an old and long deserved claim”, but that “the result achieved falls short of expectations and does not fully correspond to the agreement that was signed”.
In this sense, the union decided to mark a strike for today and a demonstration at the Prison Office of Porto (EPP), between 11:00 and 1:00 p.m., considering that the publication of the diploma does not terminate the claim process.
The SINDGRSP maintains its “discordance regarding the value of the risk supplement”, which it considered insufficient in view of the responsibilities, requirements and risks inherent in the performance of the duties performed by the employees of the Directorate-General for Reintegration and Prison Services (DGRSP).
The union stated, in statements to Lusa, that it begins a new demanding journey “with the aim of making clear the dissatisfaction of the workers and, at the same time, opening doors to new negotiations with the government”, in order to “correct the injustices that remain and achieve solutions that ensure an effective professional and remuneratory appreciation”.
This trade union action has as main demands the review of the careers of technical assistants of the DGRSP, defending the union the creation of a special career for these professionals, accompanied by the necessary professional, functional and remuneration.
It also requires the harmonisation of supplements in the DGRSP, to ensure greater fairness and fairness among professionals, and claimed a risk supplement of 450 euros, under conditions similar to those attributed to other workers of the DGRSP, as well as a household income supplement.
