Pfive fewer people died and nine were injured today after a wave of attacks by Russian forces with drones and air bombs against the Ukrainian provinces of Kirohrad and Dnipropetrovsk, according to local authorities.

The governor of Dnipropetrovsk, Oleksandr Ganzh, reported the death of two people after the destruction of a single family home in the Novoleksandivska community, located in Dnipro district.

During the early morning hours, Russian troops attacked five Dnipropetrovsk districts on more than 10 occasions, combining the use of drones and air bombs.

They also caused several fires in Pavlograd residential areas, where rescue teams still work.

Despite the damage and the victims, Ganzh stressed that Ukrainian air defense systems managed to intercept and shoot a total of 39 enemy drones overnight.

In Kirovohrad, central Ukraine, Governor Andriy Raikovich confirmed the death of three people in the regional capital as a result of an offensive that targeted mainly logistics and transport facilities as well as industrial companies.

The attack also made six wounded, five of whom had to be hospitalized in the city.

The Ukrainian Air Force has reported that Russian forces have launched two guided missiles and 580 Shahed-type kamikaze drones in the last few hours before claiming that 536 of the drones have been shot down by the country's air defense systems.

The Russian Ministry of Defence has already claimed responsibility for the attacks on ‘Ukraine port infrastructure facilities’, as well as against ‘ships serving the Ukrainian Armed Forces’.

“ As a result of the attack in the Odessa region, the port infrastructure of Izmail, used to unload and store military and dual-use cargo for the Ukraine Armed Forces, was damaged,” the ministry explained.

In a statement published on social media, he also emphasized that two other cargo ships “carrying military equipment” to the port of Odessa were damaged after being attacked during the trip, without further details.

The Ministry also stressed that the country's air defense systems have shot down 166 drones launched by Ukraine in the last few hours against several Russian regions, including Moscow, as well as against the Crimean peninsula, annexed by Ukraine in 2014.
