Aukrainian air defenses were able to kill or neutralize 82 Shahed and Gerbera drones, six Russian drones S8000 “Banderol”, as well as other types of drones.
However, impacts were recorded in 11 locations, as well as seven zones were hit by drone debris shot down by Ukrainian forces.
In Zaporijia, southeast Ukraine, Russian forces attacked the regional capital with unmanned air vehicles.
As a result of the impact, a 74-year-old man died, the DSNS reported on the social network Telegram. Two women and one man were also injured in the Russian attack.
Fires broke out in an apartment and on a balcony in two multi-story buildings. Emergency teams pulled 16 residents from one of the buildings.
In two other places, the fire damaged the roof of a private residence, a garage and a car.
Today, the Russian Ministry of Defense has stated, in a social media message, that its air defense systems intercepted 258 Ukrainian drones in the last 12 hours over several regions of the country, as well as the waters of the Azov Sea, the Black Sea and the Crimean Peninsula, annexed by the Russians in 2014. The Russian authorities did not provide information on any casualties or damage.
However, no attacks have been reported against the capitals of Russia and Ukraine in the last few hours, at the time when US envoys are in the region to try to advance a peace process to put an end to the conflict.
On Friday, Zelensky had ensured that Ukraine would not bomb Russian territory during the negotiations with US envoys and asked Moscow to “guarante a mutual ceasefire” for “the time required for its realization.”.
On Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the suspension of the attacks on the Ukrainian capital for three days on the occasion of the trip to Moscow and Kyiv of the White House emissaries.
However, this ceasefire has not been fulfilled.
American envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday.
Today, the envoys of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, are expected today in Kyiv, on the first trip of the two American representatives to Ukraine.
