“ Athe Yemeni armed forces (...) managed to reach King Khalid International Airport, in the capital of the Saudi enemy, Riyadh, with a ballistic missile, and the shooting was accurate,” said Hutis military spokesman Yahya Saree, on social network X.

Despite the claim of pro-Iran rebels, the international agencies in Riyadh do not account for any target hit.

The internationally recognized government of Yemen, supported by Saudi Arabia, has an ongoing military offensive against the Shia Hutis.

Saudi Arabia's capital, the world's largest exporter of crude oil, has been suffering unprecedented daily attacks for over a week, marking an escalation in the war between the Yemeni rebels and the Riyadh-led military coalition.

After a series of lethal attacks on Riyadh airport — the most serious one on Saturday made 13 dead and hundreds wounded — heavy explosions again shook the capital of the kingdom on Wednesday.

The Saudi authorities issued a warning on Wednesday for air strikes in Riyadh and the eastern region of the kingdom, where explosions occurred.

According to Saudi authors, four missiles and three drones were intercepted against Riyadh and south of the kingdom.

The wreckage of the projectiles caused a fire at the installation of the oil giant Aramco in Dhahran (east) and made 4 wounded in Riyadh, where 15 homes were damaged.

The attacks were also claimed by the Hutis.
