A Local Health Unit Santa Maria (ULSSM) reinforced the climbing teams for emergencies on Saturday, following the implementation of new information systems, but ensured that these services will be in “full operation”.

“ULSSM will have the three emergencies in full operation and everything will do so that users do not feel the impact of this technological update,” he told Lusa source of the health unit, asking for “collaboration and understanding” as the modernization process progresses.

The question is the transition to the two systems already used in most units of the National Health Service (SNS) – Dream V2 and SClinico – an integrated platform that allows the alignment of clinical and administrative aspects into a single digital ecosystem.

“ In this first phase, we will start in a way focused on the emergency module – central emergency service, pediatric urgency and emergency obstetrics and gynecology -, ensuring a progressive transition, safe and with all the support that teams need ", advanced the ULSM.

He also mentioned that, in order for the change to have the least possible impact on the usual response to users in the three emergency rooms, which will remain open and ensure care for the population, ULSM has strengthened its climbing teams for Saturday.

“The transition will be closely monitored by the implementation support services, following the planning and processes implemented in close liaison” to the Ministry of Health Shared Services (SPMS), the entity that manages the information systems and technological infrastructures of the SNS.

The health unit also stressed that the technological transition “is not just a change in ‘software’, since it represents a breakthrough to allow less bureaucracy, freeing up time for the provision of care to users, as well as the process of admission and faster discharge.

In addition, it will ensure integrated management of clinical information, which will allow “faster, more substantiated and safer clinical decisions”, and strengthen networking and interoperability with other NHS platforms, he said.
