A Academica today stamped the passage to the fourth round of the Cup of Portugal, winning Amarante by 3-2, with a twist in the score of the match between two teams of the II League of Football.
At the Coimbra City Stadium, the goals were scored by Simão Silva (11 and 53 minutes), Gonçalo Cunha (25), at the goal itself, Afonso Rodrigues (57) and Hugo Nunes (66).
Against the current of the game, Amarante inaugurated the marker, by Simão Silva, in charging to a shot of Arome, which the goalkeeper of the 'briosa' defended forward.
The goal was a real disappointment for the team of Coimbra, who started the match with a very strong pressure and played practically installed in the opposing field in the first 10 minutes.
Equality emerged at 25 minutes, with Gonçalo Cunha's self-guide, which headed for the goal itself, following a lateral line launch.
A ‘bis’ by Simão Silva at 53 minutes, in a shallow shot at the entrance of the area, again put the northern team to win.
The advantage lasted only four minutes, with equality being restored by Afonso Rodrigues, in a cross shot.
At 66 minutes, Hugo Nunes, who entered at the beginning of the second part, consumed the twist of the ‘students’ and fixed the result, despite the strong pressure of Amarante until the end of the match.
