Oparticipants in the camp for housing in Lisbon, approved today, in a popular assembly, to call for an Iberian general strike, on November 11, as admitted in Porto, and articulate actions with the movement of Invicta.

The popular assembly, scheduled for the end of this afternoon, in the square Dom Pedro IV, in Rossio, and after dozens of interventions, approved almost two dozen proposals, among which appeal to the union centers to call “an Iberian general strike”, on 11 November, in this case unanimously.

The protesters, who had already approved a proposal for the unions to call for a general stoppage “in defense of housing” and “against the cost of living”, and chanting slogans “general strike, general strike, general strike”, thus join the participants in the Porto camp, who had already admitted to being studied an Iberian general strike, on November 11, which “stops the Iberian Peninsula completely”.

Another proposal adopted unanimously defended “keeping camp” in Rossio, and holding popular assemblies “every day” at 7:00 p.m., until they are satisfied with their demands, mainly related to measures for housing.

Protesters in Porto want contacts by email and not individually

The movement for housing, which for a week has occupied Praça D. João I, in Porto, asks the city to contact the group by official e-mail and not individually, to ensure transparency and representativeness.
