Rod Stewart canceled the remaining concerts of his tour after having undergone heart surgery after going through several health problems in recent months.
According to his team, the 81-year-old artist went through a successful procedure of placement of a coronary stent and is now focused on its recovery.
“ The doctors are satisfied with his recovery, Rod is well and has already resumed his normal daily activities ", said the team on social networks through a statement.
“ On medical advice, he will devote the next four weeks to recovering his full physical form before returning to the stage. Unfortunately, this means that he will not be able to meet the remaining dates of his current tour”, can be read.
Rod reported that he was already “feeling better and in frank recovery”, before guaranteeing fans that he would return to the stage.
“I want to thank the doctors, nurses and all those who took care of me so wonderfully,” he said. “I’m deeply sad to miss these concerts and I’m sorry to have to disappoint my fans, but I can’t wait to get back on stage and have fun with you all again soon,” he said.

Last June, Stewart (who had thyroid cancer), canceled and postponed concerts after being diagnosed with acute upper airway infection, laryngitis and vocal cord overload.
On June 19, the musician had to interrupt a concert to use an oxygen tank after almost fainting on stage.
Stewart is halfway through the one last time tour and, remember, he played in Portugal on June 27, 2026, at the Rock in Rio Lisboa festival in Tagus Park.
