Ou.S. military have placed ground defense systems at the Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, where Donald Trump's residence is located, and in its vicinity, according to local images.
The systems were put on barges near Mar-a-Lago and at Palm Beach International Airport, the WPTV channel reported.
The placement was carried out by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (Norad) and the North American Command (Northcom), “at the request of the U.S. Secret Service,” a spokesman said.
Mar-a-Lago has been under tight security devices since an attack on Trump in September 2024 at his golf club in Palm Beach.
According to the WPTV, since January 2025, when Trump took office, fighter pilots intercepted more than 60 aircraft that violated temporary flight restrictions around Palm Beach.
Trump is now in the state of South Carolina to lead another election rally, less than a week away from the midterm elections, in which Republicans may lose the majority in the House of Representatives and the Senate.
