O Fribourg today wasted a rare opportunity to take the lead of the German Football League alone by losing 2-1 at Bayer Leverkusen stadium, which he even lost in the sixth day game.
The advanced Derry Scherhant put the visitors in advantage at 14 minutes, but the hosts – for which the Portuguese Afonso Moreira was the holder – turned the result in his favor, with goals marked by the medium Algerian Ibrahim Maza, at 19, and the advanced Czech Patrik Schick, at 76.
The Fribourg, which entered the sixth round in punctual equality with the Borussia Dortmund at the top of the Bundesliga, took advantage of the draw 0-0 awarded by the runners-up on Saturday, on the visit to the Union Berlin, 16th and pre-penultimate ranked, and was even matched in third place by Leverkusen.
The two teams are one point away from the reformulated duo of commanders, which became composed by Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, a two-time champion and great master of German football in the last decades, who on Saturday swung home the seventh-placed Leipzig by 6-1.
