The President of the Assembly of the Republic, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco, will open to the citizens the door of the main atrium of Parliament, at 14:30 on Monday, to mark another anniversary of the implementation of the Republic in Portugal.

ANDthis symbolic act of José Pedro Aguiar-Branco, who also does so on April 25, aims to bring the organ closer to sovereignty Parliament of citizens in general.
Before the end of the morning, the President of the Assembly of the Republic will be present at the solemn session of another anniversary of the implementation of the Republic, in Praça do Município, Lisbon, in which the head of State, António José Seguro, and the mayor, Carlos Coins, will speak.
In the Palace of Saint Benedict and the House of Parliament – Interpretative Centre, during the afternoon, more specifically between 2:30 and 19:00, there will be a programme dedicated to history, culture and music.
As usual, the entrance is free, being only conditioned to the capacity of the spaces.
According to the program of the Assembly of the Republic, at 2:30 p.m., soon after the opening of doors, in the Main Atrium, there will be a show entitled “Classical to the piano”, by Gil Brito.
At 4:00 p.m., the Noble Hall of the Assembly of the Republic receives “Antiprincessas: Carolina Beatriz Angelo”, dedicated to the doctor who, in 1911, became the first woman to vote in Portugal.
The music program continues at 5:30, in the Senate Room, with a concert by Luís Trigacheiro.
For children between the ages of six and 12, there will be a treasure hunt in the interior garden of the Assembly of the Republic, subject to the theme “Mission Republic! To the Discovery of the Values of the Republic”, with sessions at 3:30 and 17:00.
In the afternoon, there will be patent exhibitions: “The Word is the Place, the Constitution of the Community(s)”; “Everything is Seed, between worlds that strike borders: the artistic spoil of the psychiatric hospitals of Lisbon” and “Rejected articles of the Constitution: the proposals that were in the way”.
According to Parliament, the program also includes “the presence of historical characters by the Palace, an activity of building a commemorative medal of the Republic, as well as facial paintings and balloon modeling, providing moments of discovery and interaction for the whole family”.
