O president of the Assembly of the Republic, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco, made possible, this Wednesday, the parliamentary committee of inquiry (CPI) of Aquis to Luís Neves. However, it only allows nine of the 11 topics proposed to be investigated. The party now has two days to respond.
“The Arrivo presented a new request that is much more concrete and delimited that meets my previous orders”, he began by saying, in statements to journalists, in the Assembly of the Republic.
And he added: “In simple terms, he presented 11 topics to investigate. Nine are in a position to move forward and two, in the current formulation, are not.”.
The President of the Assembly of the Republic explained that the two topics that are not in a position to move forward have to do with “the alleged interference of a son of Luís Neves with journalistic activity” and another has to do with the search for possible conflicts of interest with entities that are not identified”.
“ It is possible to identify facts in this matter, but one cannot start from situations that are not identified,” he said.
