“The General Deposit Box, S.A. informs that the Management Board has approved the change in the address of the registered office, with effect from 1 September 2026, awaiting registration with the Conservatory of the Commercial Registry”, can be read in the published note.
This makes it official to move from the headquarters of CGD to Parque das Nações in Lisbon: “ The address of the registered office from that date shall be as follows: Avenida Dom João II, No 1, 1998-038 Lisbon, Portugal”.
CGD explains that “this information is disclosed in accordance with and for the purposes of Article 29k of the Securities Code”.
CGD expects to keep profits above EUR 1,000 million
The CEO of the General Deposit Box (CGD) said at the beginning of the year, at a press conference, that the high results recorded by the bank in 2025 will be difficult to repeat but expects to keep profits above eur 1,000 million.
“ These results will be difficult to sustain because of competition. ... This level of results is not something we think will be maintained,” said Paulo Macedo, during the Lisbon presentation of the historical profits of EUR 1,900 million for 2025.
Still, the manager (and former Minister of Health of the Government PSD/CDS-PP) considered that he expects CGD to maintain “substantial results” in the coming years.
In his response to journalists, Macedo even said that in the face of the capital invested in CGD (of EUR 11,000 million) for the bank’s profitability of capital “it must in principle always have a profit of more than EUR 1,000 million”.
If it does not make that profit, the result does not pay the cost of capital, he explained.
As far as commissions are concerned, Macedo said that CGD will not be changing prices this year or moving exemptions. However, he added that one day the bank will have to review the fees charged (including exemptions).
“Let’s not touch the precarious. The intention is, for the fourth year, not to. We have to see how long this is compatible...”, he said.
