O Bayern Munich was not today more than a tie in the visit to Augsburg, in which the Portuguese Rodrigo Ribeiro scored for those of the house, on a fifth day of the German League marked by the festival of goals in Mainz-Leverkusen.
By stalling 2-2 a game in which he saw four decommissioned goals, the German two-time champion wasted the possibility of equalizing the Bundesliga leader Borussia Dortmund, who on Friday recorded the same result at the reception to Werder Bremen.
Thus, the Bavarians remain in second position, two points away from the leader, which adds 13, much because of their goalkeeper.
It was only seven seconds before an inattentive Manuel Neuer made a loud mistake and ‘offered’ the goal to Robin Felhauer, very celebrated by the supporters of the house team, who lined up with Rodrigo Ribeiro at the ‘eleven’.
It was only at 51 minutes that the Bavarians celebrated for the first time, but Luis Díaz's acrobatic goal was the first of four cancelled to Bayern.
The draw finally came from the feet of Ismael Saberi, who, assisted by Harry Kane, scored at 55.
Augsburg moved forward again at 64 minutes, with Neuer defending for the front and the young Portuguese advanced to be in the right place, to make his second goal this time in the Bundesliga.
But providential Kane would avoid the worst-case scenario for Bayern Munich, watching Nathaniel Brown, who ‘only’ had to pull over at 80 minutes.
In the fight for European places, Bayer Leverkusen took the best in the visit to Mainz, imposing itself by 4-3, after having scored two goals before 10 minutes.
With Afonso Moreira in the ‘eleven’, the visitors advanced at five minutes, with a cut from a Mainz defense to ‘supraar’ for Robert Andrich, who shot first, from outside the area, to the 1-0.
Four minutes later, Patrik Schick, assisted by Aleix Garcia, was faster than the opposing defenses and did the second.
But Mainz would still be tied before the break, with an 'bis' by Anthony Caci, who scored at 33 and 42 minutes.
Bayer Leverkusen entered the second part and took only 10 minutes to make two more goals: Jarell Quansah scored at 55 and Afonso Moreira watched for a great goal of Moussa Diaby at 65.
Mainz still reduced the discounts, through Benedict Hollerbach (90+2), but failed to prevent the victory of the visitors, who rose to the fourth place of the German League with 10 points, and are ahead of the Augsburg, which has eight.
Mainz is seventh and is the first team out of European places, with seven, followed by the ‘promoted’ Elversberg, which today lost with the ‘afflict’ Union Berlin by 1-0.
A solo goal of Turkish Livan Burcu, at 81 minutes, was enough for the Berliners to add the first victory in five journeys and gain some breath in the Bundesliga, in which they are the first team below the descent line, in the 16th position, with four points.
A place below, with one less point, is the Hoffenheim, which reduced to 10 due to expulsion, by accumulation of yellows of the Brazilian Bernardo, since the 65 minutes, lost 3-2 with Hamburg, which aligned on the 'eleven' with the Portuguese Daniel Fernandes and Fábio Vieira.
At another meeting in the afternoon, Stuttgart won 2-0 on the visit to Paderborn, the first team above the demotion zone.
