Uamerica Airlines had to cancel take-off at LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York after colliding with a bird on the track.
The New York Post, which quotes the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), reports that the aircraft, which was destined for Chicago, was walking at 225 km/h on the runway at the airport, preparing to take off when the pilot reported a collision.
Thus, the pilot decided to abort take-off and return to the boarding door minutes later.
There were no reports of injuries between passengers or cabin crew. The aircraft wasn't damaged either.
LaGuardia Airport interrupted operations for some time, however, the most considerable delays were caused mainly due to bad weather and not because of this incident.
It should be noted that the airline has dealt with some incidents over the past few weeks. For example, in August, an air controller managed to prevent two American Airlines planes, which had the same flight number, colliding in the air.
In the same month, a laptop burned down during a flight, with at least one person in need of medical attention.
