A total of 204 people were arrested for electoral crimes in Brazil on Sunday and 520.4 thousand reais were seized (93.1 thousand euros) for suspected vote purchase, police authorities said today.

“ ANDamong the main crimes reported are irregular electoral propaganda and electoral corruption, especially the purchase of votes ", highlighted in a note the federal police (PF) of the country in final balance after the first round.
In all, the corporation set up 1,337 police investigations related to electoral crimes during 2026, with 49 of them being launched last Sunday.
Sunday occurrences were recorded in the states of Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, Alagoas, Espírito Santo, Pernambuco, Minas Gerais, Sergipe, Roraima, Acre, Rondônia, Amapá, Maranhão, Amazonas, Mato Grosso, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Paraíba, Santa Catarina, Piauí, Pará, Paraná, Rio Grande do Norte and Tocantins, in addition to the Federal District.
Also throughout this year, until October 4, the seizure of assets seized in actions related to electoral crimes reached another 47.5 million reais, about 8.49 million reais.
Of this total, PF reported, the seizure of cash in kind reached 31 million reais, equivalent to 5.54 million euros.
