O Manchester United goes from bad to worse, and at the beginning of the afternoon of this Saturday, he was defeated from his trip to Stamford Bridge, before Chelsea, by 2-0, in what was the ninth Premier League’s ninth round of events, thus making up a cycle of nine consecutive games without a single win, in all competitions.

Bruno Fernandes returned to the initial eleven, after having been ‘punished’ with the bench of alternates, in the disengagement before Bournemouth, by 3-0, due to the criticisms of the coach himself, Michael Carrick, after the previous ‘slip’, in the visit to Como, by categorics 4-1. A return that, however, did not go at all as he himself expected.

The captain lived up to the statute and called for himself the red devils game, but proved particularly disastrous in the individual plan, with special emphasis on the failure he signed at 19 minutes when, released by Bryan Mbeumo, he isolated himself and shot over the goal in Mike Penders' guard.

This was, moreover, only one of several failures initialled by the visitors, who even managed to mark, at 34 minutes, through Matheus Cunha... but it was not worth it, since the brazilian international was in an irregular position, when Harry Maguire cushioned his ball, after a singing kick charged by Bruno Fernandes.

Well, those who do not, risk suffering, and that is precisely what happened. Instantly after his return to the locker rooms, Morgan Rogers made a point of demonstrating why the blues invested nearly 140 million euros to take him from the Aston Villa, with a brilliant individual initiative that culminated in goal.

At 63 minutes, Manchester United suffered a new ‘machada’, this time made by Lisandro Martínez, who saw two yellow cards within four minutes and the consequent red, leaving the team reduced to ten units. The second was born from an elbow to Wesley Fofana, who gave rise to a great penalty that Cole Palmer would eventually convert.

The ‘scale’ just did not take on any other contours, the VAR entered once again in action this time, to cancel a goal to Stephen William, who was out of play at the time he received a pass from Cole Palmer, so the result did not suffer any new change.

The results (and accounts) of the Premier League

Chelsea-Manchester United has given the ‘starting round’ to a round that will last for the weekend in which it starts, starting from the 3 p.m. train on this Saturday, which will also feature Bournemouth-Leeds United, Brentford-Nottingham Forest, Coventry City-Sunderland, Hull City-Ipswich Town and Manchester City-Brighton.

At 5:30, the Tottenham-Crystal Palace will be played, and at 8 p.m. the Aston Villa-Fulham. On Sunday, there will be a long-awaited Liverpool-Arsenal at 4:30 p.m., and the journey will not end until Monday at 8 p.m. in St. James’ Park, with the duel that will put Newcastle and Everton face to face.

After the accounts, with this set of results, Chelsea now adds 16 points and provisionally equals Brighton in the third position of the Premier League. Manchester United, for its part, remains with the same seven Crystal Palace points and is 16th ranked, with only one point of advantage over Nottingham Forest and Coventry City, teams that live immediately below the water line.
