A fight for the title in Brasileirão is on the rise after more scorching results during the 30th day, with Palmeiras and Flamengo not disarming in their matches, who had strong emotions for different reasons this Sunday night.
Abel Ferreira's set was faced with an afflicted Corinthians, in a game in which historical rivalry predicted much balance. However, this did not happen and there was even the right to win at Nubank Park in São Paulo.
The victory was won by 4-1, with a name to be clearly highlighted at the meeting, since Augustin Giay a bisar at the meeting.
The triumph began to be built in the first part, after a somewhat tense beginning, typical of a classic Brazilian football, with the first goal to emerge after a pass by Lucas Evangelista, with Alexander Barboza opening the asset, at 16 minutes, with a head to the bottom of the networks defended by Hugo Souza.
After that, the advantage was doubled very close to the whistle for the break, with Augustin Giay appearing for the first time at 45+1 minutes, after Jhon Arias served him with quality for the second goal of the match. The break did not help the Corinthians, who came back from the locker room with his head ‘in the air’, as he suffered still within the first minute of the second part, with a caricacy of Matheus Bidu, which confirmed the night of nightmares for visitors.
The victory ended up being sentenced through the Argentine side that was already associated with Benfica, with Giay returning to taste on foot five minutes later, closing the match accounts. Abel Ferreira rested the most important players, having launched Paulinho on the lawn, after an injury suffered, and it was even a full comeback, if it were not for the Brazilian spearhead to have failed a great penalty that he himself won, at 81 minutes of play. The helm still scored in the last play of the game, by Gustavo Henrique, but it was of no use to change the outcome of the winner.
With this result, Corinthians is in bad shape in the fight for the maintenance of Serie A do Brasileirão, being at risk of a descent to the second step of the football pyramid canarinho.
Flamengo beats Fluminense and maintains leadership
In the big game of the journey, Flamengo, led by Portuguese Leonardo Jardim, received the third Fluminense ranking, and won a very sweaty and necessary victory in the fight for the first place in the table of Brasileirão, for 1-0, with the decisive goal to appear already after the game time.
Jorge Carrascal was the hero of the night, since Palmeiras was winning the Corinthians at the same time and threatened to outrun the mengoon, so Lucas Paquetá's assistance to the Colombian extreme was extremely important at 65 minutes.
When there are only eight matches left for the end of the season, Flamengo is a 64-point leader and Palmeiras is right behind with 63, with the same number of games, and the two teams are still facing the championship, in the early final round of the race, which promises to be scalding and decisive in Nubank Park.
