Jit's been over two weeks since Manchester United was ‘distorted’ by Como, at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, by 4-1. However, the meeting of the third round of the League of Champions League league continues to speak, much because of the ‘bombastic’ statements made by Bruno Fernandes, after the final whistle.
The Portuguese international coach, Michael Carrick, was the main responsible for the heavy defeat, and was ‘punished’, days later, when he was referred to the bench of alternates, in the exit that followed, before Bournemouth, in Old Trafford, by 0-3. In the middle, they both had the opportunity to clarify everything, but the English still does not reveal exactly what was said.
“There are always conversations and things going on. The important thing is to recognize when things are going well and what we need to improve”, he began by saying, in statements given at the traditional press conference forecasting the long awaited meeting of the 10th Premier League, in front of Aston Villa, at home.
“ Sometimes the issue is individual, and sometimes it's collective. What was said exactly in that conversation, I'll keep it to myself, but it's pretty clear we're going in a good direction. Bruno’s commitment is beyond doubt, for me, at the level of what he brings to this team and to this club”, he added.
Michael Carrick took advantage, moreover, of the good exhibition signed in the middle of the week, in the return to triumphs, before AS Roma, by 3-2, to illustrate that there is nothing left to resolve with the captain: “I think his actions, the way he played and the way he handled everything, even the obligation to repeat the great penalty, say everything. Bruno is as good as ever”.

Manchester United reaches the tenth day in the 18th and pre-penultimate position of the Premier League, immediately below the ‘waterline, with seven points, less two than the team that lives immediately ahead, composed of Nottingham Forest (who received and beat Manchester City, by 3-1) and Coventry City (who left defeated from the visit to Everton, also by 3-1), so is ‘forced’ to beat the Aston Villa.
In the Champions League, the Red Devils occupy the 17th place of the Champions League league, with the same six points of Internazionale, LASK Linz and Galatasaray. This, before going to the José Alvalade Stadium, where they have a meeting with Sporting for 20h00 (Hour of Continental Portugal) next November 25th, Wednesday.
The League Cup ‘was gone’, the result of the defeat suffered in front of Brighton, in the third round, in the middle of Old Trafford, by 2-3. Finally, in the English Cup, the red devils await a later stage to enter the scene, in expectation of having a better performance than in the last season.
