Nothing's CEO, Carl Pei, criticized iPhone Duo, stating that it is a “waste of money” due to its high price and lack of functionality compared to other Apple models.

“ Costs more than an iPhone 18 Pro with fewer features, so you are paying more for less”, says Pei, pointing to the absence of facial recognition system Face ID and a teleobjective, as well as the lower quality frontal chamber.
The leader of Nothing notes, however, that the animation of opening and closing the iPhone Duo was well designed by Apple and a detail that jumps into view, arguing that (at the end of the day) turns out to be “just an animation” and not an innovation itself.

Apple seems confident in the success of iPhone Duo
China's latest Security Times report (via 9to5mac) that Apple will have increased iPhone Duo production. Unlike the 6 to 7 million units it expected to produce initially by the end of 2026, the new information points to 10 million units being produced during this year.
It is important to stress that iPhone Duo is Apple's first mobile phone in the category of folders, which already has the presence of known brands in the world of mobile phones such as Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, Google and Motorola.
The iPhone Duo will be available in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB configurations, with the cheapest version costing 2,399 euros and the most expensive version reaching up to 3,899 euros. The release is scheduled for October 23rd.
