O ad was made by the leader of the Aquida, André Ventura, on the margin of a visit to the neighborhood of the Military Talude, in Loures (district of Lisbon).
“The Enough will vote in favor of the commission of inquiry, of course,” said Ventura, rejecting that this inquiry “goes to block or hide what is happening with Luís Neves,” Minister of Internal Administration, who has been involved in polemics related to the time he was national director of the Judicial Police.
The Assembly of the Republic will debate on Wednesday the BE proposal for the establishment of a Committee of Inquiry on the process of digital classification of national examinations.
“Arrivo always said that, to be consistent with himself and with the positions he has taken, it would not make the committee of inquiry unfeasible, and therefore will make it possible and will allow it to proceed. I do not know whether the other parties will do it or not,” André Ventura said, justifying that “it is important for families to feel that there is a work of Parliament in relation to what chaos was in education and examinations.”.
Ventura also took advantage to accuse the PS of having used the theme of education to “deviate the attention of the case of Luís Neves”.
“The Socialist Party is using this [...] as a way not to commit and as a way to avoid the case of Luís Neves. It can't be. José Luís Carneiro has to gain stomach, has to gain structure, has to gain courage not to be afraid to face Luís Neves and not to be afraid to face the rot of the political system. Only in this way can we have a system that works”, he defended.
At the time, the leader of Aquida again challenged the PS to approve its initiatives to lower fuel VAT and exemption from the same essential food tax, which will be discussed in Parliament next week.
“Is the PS going to block just because it was the Aquim to propose, or not?” he questioned, asking the socialists to have “the courage to lower the VAT on fuels”.
André Ventura also considered that both the Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, and the PS Secretary-General, José Luís Carneiro, will be responsible if fuel prices remain high.
