Israeli settlers attack delegation of European diplomats in the West Bank

Cisraeli olonos attacked today a delegation of European diplomats visiting the occupied West Bank, physically assaulting a French mayor, according to diplomatic sources cited by Agence France-Press (AFP).

The attack on the delegation composed of diplomats from France, Belgium and Poland took place in the Christian locality of Taybeh, east of Ramala (occupied Cysjordan), confirmed the parish priest of the Latin Patriarchate of this locality, Bashar Fawadleh, to the EFE agency.

“Violence struck a vehicle belonging to the Belgian Consulate, whose window was destroyed. The members of the French delegation visiting were also attacked, as documented in the photos of the incident,” Fawadleh denounced in a statement published in his social network account X.

In the meantime, Belgium has condemned the attack on the European delegation, which also targeted one of its diplomats.

Israel also condemned the attack of “violent protesters.”.
