This is how you should wash your beach towel
You may never have thought about it much, but washing the beach towel is something you should do throughout the summer. Don't leave it for the end of the season. Marta Stewart’s website leaves some tips to clean it in the best way.
You talked to an expert about everything you should do after a trip to the beach, which can still happen, and even before you put the towel away. Look at these solutions.
First shake and dry in the sun
That's what you should do after a beach day. “The sun’s ultraviolet rays dry your towel and kill germs during the process,” says expert Kathryn Emery.
After drying, shake it one more time
“I’m sure you want as little sand as possible before you put it to wash.”
Wash with cold water
“Washing with cold water reduces the likelihood of incorporating sand debris into the towel fibers.”
To remove stains from protector, warm water is best
It says it's better in these cases, but it can also add some softener.
And dry again
It's always best to do it in the sun, not in a dryer.
Do we have to wash every use?
“ Beach towels should be washed every three uses to be free of bacteria.”
