O north Sea crude, a reference in Europe, closed the session at Intercontinental Exchange to quote $1.09 below 100.34 with which it ended the transactions on Monday.

Brent maintained the downward trend, closing even below the symbolic threshold of the 100 dollars, while investors have their eyes on the UN General Assembly, initiated today, hopeful that it will serve to advance to a negotiated end of the Israeli-North American war on Iran and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Donald Trump anticipated during the event that there will be an agreement to end the war with Iran after the midterm elections in the US on November 3, because Tehran argued he is waiting to know the election results.

These words began by raising the barrel’s quotation by discarding an immediate truce before returning to the downward trend.

Trump has confirmed that, on the sidelines of the Assembly, there has been a “very good” three-hour meeting today between members of his government and Iranian representatives and that another is planned for “a near future”.

About the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Trump was optimistic about its end, commenting that it will end “faster” than people think.

For his part, the Ukrainian President expressed his conviction that Trump can help end the war “before winter”.
