The government announced that it is renewing the executive portal on the Internet and launched a channel in the instant messaging service “WhatsApp”, in which it is possible to find communications from the executive, but also weather alerts.

Dand agree with one note available at the Government Portal, it says that the page is being renewed “to facilitate citizens’ access to up-to-date information and to allow more closely monitoring of government activity”.
“ Renewal reinforces real-time information and provides new ways to track government communications through live videos, public interest alerts, ‘WhatsApp’ and email subscriptions,” adds the text.
According to the note, the interventions of the Prime Minister and the “briefings” of the Council of Ministers can be followed live on the Government Portal, “facilitating access to information and government activity”.
“ Government alerts gather information on public utility, including weather alerts, road warnings, information on deadlines and applications and public consultations,” he adds.
On the new official channel of the Portuguese Republic on “WhatsApp“, it will be possible to “follow the main highlights and receive selected information about government activity”, according to the same source.
“It’s also possible subscribe to e-mail communications to receive news and other updates published on the Portal”, adds the statement.
On the "WhatsApp" channel, it is already possible to find official notes of the last days about the activity of ministers, reproductions of messages posted by the Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, on social network X, but also a warning about the high temperatures for today and the coming days.
