Aarrests were made in several cities in the north, center and south of the country of North Africa, including Casablanca, Marrakesh, Fez and Nador, by judicial police officers, in coordination with the Directorate-General for Territory Surveillance, gave the official source to the agency Efe.
The police, added the sources, detected digital publications and content that allegedly prepared in advance the invasion of Ceuta and Melilla's fences and encouraged users of social networks and message applications to carry out collective illegal migration operations.
Morocco and Spain have today mobilized a strong security scheme at the borders of Ceuta and Melilla (north Africa) after convening social networks for mass crossings, coinciding with the day of elections held today in the Maghreb country.
This week the Spanish Government acknowledged concern about possible illegal entry of people into both cities today and announced a strengthening of police facilities at the borders of Ceuta and Melilla.
On the Morocco side, special security devices were also deployed for the 'Ceuta' border and for the roads linking the cities of Tangier and Tetuán to the border area of Fnideq, according to local sources cited by the Efe news agency.
During the early hours, there were movements on the Morocco side of migrant groups from sub-Saharan countries that are installed in the Fnideq region and clashes with the police, which ended with four detainees, said the same sources cited by the Spanish news agency.
This is the third call on social media since the end of July, when at least 70,000 people entered the Spanish enclave in an unprecedented humanitarian crisis in the region, which resulted in at least 141 deaths, according to civil organizations.
On 15 August, a similar summons ended in clashes between sub-Saharan migrants and Moroccan policemen on the outskirts of Fnideq (Castillejos), to prevent the crossing to Ceuta.
