Nthe case of having a birthday or wanting to combine something with friends, most people end up doing a group at WhatsApp, which sometimes gives rise to some confusion and misunderstanding.
WhatsApp itself is alert to this issue, which has led the company to create a new area on the platform dedicated to events that its users want to organize.
“ People asked us for a unique place to create and coordinate events, including to invite friends who are not in WhatsApp”, can be read in official statement whatsApp. “ Whether with family, new friends or your nearest circle, the best times happen when you're with other people. We are implementing updates to help you plan your next meeting more easily.”.
It is known that from this new area, users who are organizing an event can send invitations to anyone, even those who are not accounted for in WhatsApp. “ Create an event, add a cover photo and share the connection. People can see the details and respond to the event without downloading the app”Explains whatsapp.
The company also explains that, when invitations are sent, the sender's mobile phone number is not shared with guests you do not know. Moreover, the event address is also displayed only for users who do not have WhatsApp after responding to the invitation.
This novelty of WhatsApp will be entitled to an area where users can find all relevant information, including who responded or did not respond to the invitation they sent. From this “control center” it will be possible to send reminders so that no one forgets to answer.
It must be stressed that this feature is being launched gradually, so it may not reach all users simultaneously. “The updated Events feature will be implemented for all users in the coming weeks”WhatsApp.
