A Public Security Police (PSP) will strengthen the security and sports policing device against the game of the Porto Football Club (FCP) with the PSV Eindhoven at the Dragon Stadium for the Champions League, on Tuesday.
“ Taking into account the great expected turnout of fans, including visitors, the PSP will strengthen its police presence in the vicinity of the sports grounds and in the main points of concentration and circulation of supporters, adopting the necessary measures to ensure the safety of all actors and for the event to take place within normal limits”, reads the note sent by PSP to the News to Minutes this friday.
The conditioning and restrictions on circulation and more details on recommendations and access to the stadium in the city of Porto will be detailed at the beginning of the week, but for now the authorities already leave some advice, calling for a “responsible behavior” by the fans.
The advice of the PSP
- Get to the stadium in good time;
- Use public transport whenever possible;
- Respect the indications of police officers, sports assistants and the organisation;
- They do not transport prohibited objects or substances;
- Maintain a responsible and respectful attitude towards the remaining supporters;
- Be alert to your personal belongings in places of great concentration of people;
- In the face of any emergency or behaviour that might jeopardise security, seek immediately a police officer.
“PSP recalls that the safety of a sports event is a shared responsibility and calls for the collaboration of all supporters, regardless of the team they support”, reads the note.
