Felgueiras and Leixões tie ‘improper game for heart

O Leixões put, at the end of the morning of Saturday, a stop point in a ‘terrible’ cycle of four consecutive defeats, before FC Porto B (by 1-2), Vianense (by 1-0), Academic (by 4-0) and Sporting B (by 1-2), by ‘rescue’ a tie to three balls of the visit to Felgueiras, in a game in which the scene was (much) poorly stopped.

The marker of the Stadium Dr. Machado de Matos worked for the first time right after the passage of the fifth minute, when João Pinto took advantage of an incomplete relief by the opposing defense to receive the ball and to cross back to the 'heart' of the large area, where appeared Tiago Ventura, completely loose from marking, shooting counting.

Moreno Teixeira’s men would return to ‘do havoc’ just six minutes later, this time, following a counterattack led by Tiago Ventura, who threw the ball to Tiago Leite, who went to the heights to head, to the bottom of the goal to the guard of Igor Stefanovic, thus causing a new ‘explosion’ of joy in the stands.

The answer would eventually appear in one of the last bids before the whistle for the break, when the referee, Luís Godinho, of the Évora Football Association, pointed out a great penalty, by hand on the ball of Michel Costa, that Bryan Róchez took to realize and thus give a ‘new life’ to the duel of the tenth day of the II League.

The Honduran international would go back to doing theirs, in the second half, at 63 minutes, with a straight head, after a spherical pumped by Serif Nhaga. At 84 minutes, Matheus Costa consumed the ‘cambalhota’, but at 90+1, a major penalty converted by Mario Rivas sealed the final result once and for all.

The results (and accounts) of the II League

This Leixões Felgueiras was only the second game of the tenth round of the II League, after, on the eve, AVS and Vizela had a two-ball draw in Santo Tirso. Also this Saturday, at 2 p.m. (Hour of Continental Portugal), will be played the Sports of Chaves-Penafiel, and at 3:30 p.m., the Academic-Amarante.

On Sunday, there will be a Feirense-Lusitânia de Lourosa, a FC Porto B-Portimonense (both at 11 a.m.), a Farense-Benfica B (at 2 p.m.) and a Sporting B-Tondela (at 6 p.m.), being reserved for 8:15 p.m. Monday the closing meeting of the journey, which will place, face to face, Torreense and União de Leiria.

After the accounts, at this time, the Leixões comes to add 11 points and ascends, provisionally, to the 11th place of the table, in equality with the Portimonense (which still goes to play). The Felgueiras, for its part, is 14th ranked, with the same eight points of Amarante, Desportivo de Chaves and FC Porto B (which will also enter the scene).

At the top of the table, Sporting B lives, with 21 points, two more than the second pair of classified composed by Penafiel and Lusitânia de Lourosa. Benfica B (with 17 points), Farense, Academica, Tondela and Vizela (all with 15, the latter being the only ones who have ever been to the game).
