Dirruptive, the Ferrari Luce has been controversial since its presentation at the end of May. But the truth is, it's proving successful on the market, having already exceeded the annual sales target.
According to the Financial Times, which cites two informed persons on the subject, the manufacturer's first electric model should sell just under 500 units in 2026 – a bar that was already surpassed in early july.
And this happened thanks to high demand in an unexpected market – China’s, where despite the strong demand for electric cars, there is also a very tight competition from local manufacturers.
Designed by Jony Ive's LoveFrom (ex-Apple), Ferrari Luce has four engines (one on each wheel) and more than 1,000 hp power. In addition to being the first electrician of the manufacturer of Maranello, it is also the first five-seat berlin, over five meters long.
Unlike other electric sportsmen, their sound is obtained by microphones next to the engines and then amplified. The model costs more than half a million euros and was the target of widespread criticism – including Ferrari's former strongman Luca di Montezemolo.
