O candidate Flávio Bolsonaro and the current Brazilian head of state, Lula da Silva, will compete for the second round of the presidential elections of Brazil, which take place on October 25.
According to official data, Flávio Bolsonaro registered 47.43% of the votes valid in the first round while Lula da Silva obtained 44.69% when 97.24% of the electoral sections are counted.
The Brazilian Supreme Electoral Court published on its website that the “election [is] mathematically defined (second round)”.
