Strong explosions were heard this Monday night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a country that has been the frequent target of attacks by Yemen's Huthis, according to residents and a journalist from the France-Presse agency (AFP).

Ubut the explosions were heard in areas close to the international airport of the Saudi capital and made “tremer os windows”, a resident reported to AFP.
The explosions take place in the context of intensified combat in Yemen and cross-border attacks against Saudi Arabia.
The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, today declared himself “deeply concerned” with the “strong escalation of fighting” in Yemen in recent days, according to his spokesman, Stéphane Dujarric.
Guterres also condemned “the continuation of Huthis’ cross-border attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” and urged all parties to exercise “the utmost restraint,” the spokesman added.
