The districts of Guarda, Castelo Branco and Santarém were placed under orange warning by the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), starting at 12:00, due to the forecast of thunderstorms.

Nthe Guard, the notice applies until midnight, while in Castelo Branco and Santarém ends at 9:00 p.m., according to the latest update of the IPMA.
Under yellow warning are the districts of Bragança and Viseu (between 16:00 and midnight), Évora (from 12:00 to 9:00), Vila Real and Aveiro (16:00 – 00:00), Coimbra and Portalegre (12:00 – 21:00).
Warnings are issued due to predictions of heavy rains, thunderstorms and hail fall, with gusts of wind between 70 and 90 kilometers per hour.
