“ A our resistance will certainly intensify, strengthened by the experience gained,” said Revolutionary Guard spokesman Hossein Mohebi in an exclusive interview with the agency France-Presse (AFP) in Tehran.
“ This time, we will not just fight back; our approach will be offensive, and America will lament its action and will be more humiliated than ever,” Mohebi warned.
The statements arise after the Revolutionary Guard threatened to attack “new targets” with “new weapons” on Monday if Iran is again the subject of an offensive by the United States.
“ In the event of another attack, there will be significant changes in our defense and counter-offensive ", warned the organization, in a statement that anticipated a "change in the geography of war" and a change in the weaponry used.
“We will use new weapons with new capabilities on the battlefield, and the world will be surprised,” the spokesman added.
On Saturday, the Iranian Joint Central Military Command had stated that Washington had decided to launch new operations against Iran with the approval of some countries in the region.
In the interview with AFP, Mohebi also announced that Tehran hardened the conditions for ending the conflict that began in February following the Israeli-American attacks on Iranian territory.
“ We had agreed these conditions with the United States, but they broke the agreement,” Mohebi said, referring to a roadmap signed by the two countries on 17 June, which did not prevent the resumption of hostilities.
“We therefore harden our conditions as a result,” the spokesman added, ensuring that “the United States has no choice but to accept Iranian demands.
Mohebi added that the Revolutionary Guard rejected direct contact attempts by the United States, stressing that diplomatic negotiations are the responsibility of Iranian government representatives.
“ The Americans tried to contact us, but we refused any contact,” the spokesman explained.
“ Our contacts with the enemy, as long as it is hostile, occur only through weapons,” Mohebi concluded.
