Dand according to the television radio Bantaba, consulted by Lusa on social networks, the operation was conducted by elements of the Public Order Police and the National Guard.

The operation takes place on the day the deadline given by the High Military Command, which led the coup last November, so that the facilities of political parties move up to 500 meters from the headquarters of sovereign organs, hospitals, embassies, military barracks and police stations.

The national headquarters of the PAIGC and the Movement for Democratic Alternance (Madem G15) are just a few metres from the presidential palace in the Guinean capital.

The Bissau Online portal reported on its website on a social network that the order forces broke into the doors of several PAIGC offices “to force the eviction” of the property.

The platform recalls that the Permanent Committee of the Party, meeting virtually last week, rejected “veemently” the intention of the Military High Command to force the vacancy of the headquarters, considered the “measure without legitimacy and legal basis” and recalled that it would only be up to justice to proceed with the demand.

The same source states that the PAIGC was not formally notified of the decision of the military to vacate the headquarters and that the action taken today “is the materialization of intentions previously expressed by the former President, Umaro Sissoco Embalo”.

Other sources consulted by Lusa on social networks indicate that the order forces placed a plaque before the PAIGC headquarters where it is read that the property constitutes “state heritage”.

The Guinean military staged a coup d'état on November 26, 2025, the day before the publication of the results of legislative and presidential elections, and removed from power the then President, Umaro Sissoco Embaló.

They created a National Transitional Council (CNT), which took over the powers of parliament, and appointed Ilídio Vieira Té Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.

The opposition considered that this was a coup d'état staged to allow Sissoco Embalo, who has lived regularly in Morocco since the coup, to return to power through new presidential and legislative elections marked by the military on 6 December.
