“There is an idea that if a person has hemorrhoids, at some point he must undergo surgeryed. But what many do not know is that there are different degrees of the disease and various possibilities of treatment ", explains doctor Andre Augusto Pinto to the website Saúde em Dia.
In more severe cases, the tissues increase and ignite and become the source of several symptoms, such as swelling, itching or blood when you go to the bathroom. Hemorrhoids may be internal, external or mixed. It will be in the most advanced states that medical follow-up may be necessary.

“ The choice of treatment depends on the intensity of the symptoms, the degree of the disease and the characteristics of each patient. In lighter cases, some changes in habits may help to control symptoms. This is the case of increased consumption of fibers and water, avoid pushing too hard and reduce time in the toilet ", continues the doctor.
Seven habits that increase the risk of hemorrhoids

Among them, seven stand out. The following:

2– use of poor quality toilet paper and causing too much friction;
3- Spend a lot of time sitting in the toilet with your hips bent above 90 degrees;
4- Lack of fiber and low water intake;
5- Exaggeration of exercise;
6- Sedentarism;
7- Untreated inflammations.
