Ua 36-year-old man, arrested by the GNR for suspicion of assaulting his 44-year-old partner in Beja, was in protective custody, today revealed the source of that security force.
The same source indicated to the Lusa agency that the suspect, of foreign nationality, was arrested on Thursday and present today to the Beja Judicial Court for first judicial interrogation.
The court decreed the preventive arrest, the most serious coercion measure, and the defendant was led to the Beja Prison Institution, where he will wait for the process to unfold, the source has advanced.
