Os rebels Huthis of Yemen today claimed the attacks on Saturday's Riyadh International Airport, which killed 12 people.

According to the international agencies, despite the claim, there are still no further details on the communication.

A projectile hit Riyadh International Airport Terminal 4 today, causing a fire, the day after the attack that killed 12 people, announced the Saudi Arabia-led international coalition against Huthis rebels.

“An unidentified projectile reached Terminal 4 of King Khalid International Airport. The attack caused a fire and the competent authorities are investigating the incident,” said Turki al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Saudi Arabia-led anti-Huthi military coalition on the X network, without assigning the action to any group.

The attack takes place in a context of rapid escalation of the conflict between the Huthis rebels of Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

On Saturday, the attack on the international airport of Riyadh, attributed to the Huthis, also made 309 wounded, some in serious condition, in one of the most deadly attacks in Saudi Arabia.

For their part, the Huthis denounced today an attack, which they attributed to the Saudis, the airport of Yemen's capital Sanaa, controlled by the rebels.

The announcement was broadcast on television, but the Huthis did not provide details.
