A australian content creator and influencer Matilda Baxter, just 21 years old, has caused controversy on social networks. The young woman underwent an impressive physical transformation after performing an invasive procedure known as “Barbie belt”.
Matilda, who has almost a million followers on Instagram alone, has shared on her page the result of the operation she did about two months ago. This procedure consists of fracture, in a controlled way, some of the lower ribs to leave the waist very thin.
The young woman showed a “before and after” of the result of the operation, which provoked several criticisms. “Anyone who says I was better in 2023 clearly cannot pay for my 2026 version,” Matilda said.
“ It is shameful to convey this image and encourage other young girls or women to think it is normal to have this look”, said a netizen.
“ Some of you really need to go to an optics; this is not healthy. That's not how a body should be, and for younger women who are reading this and think they should look like that: don't try that. It is not healthy, and this has to do with body dysmorphia”, said another person.
