A circulation in the Main Itinerary (IP) 3 will be cut in both directions on Monday and Tuesday nights, in the context of the works underway between Santa Comba Dão and Viseu, announced today the Infrastructures of Portugal.
According to the Infrastructure of Portugal, “carrying and assembly of prefabricated beams and slabs necessary for the enlargement and construction of works of art” will be carried out.
The transit will be done by the National Road (EN)2, in both directions, between 21:00 and 05:00, explained in a statement.
On the night from Monday to Tuesday, the circulation will be diverted between the knots of Treixedo (Santa Comba Dão) and Tondela Sul and, the next night, between the knots of Canas de Santa Maria and São Miguel de Outeiro (Tondela).
This intervention is part of the work of doubling and requalifying the IP3 between Santa Comba Dão and Viseu.
The section under intervention is located “between the kilometer 90,200, north of the No de Vila Pouca, and the kilometer 117,722, in the area of the upper interception passage leveled with the A25/IP5”, crossing territories of the municipalities of Santa Comba Dão, Tondela and Viseu, all in the district of Viseu.
Under this project, the road platform (in a 2×2 road profile), rectified and improved and traced, links and accessibility to the local road network, and reinforced the pavement, signalling system and safety equipment will be extended.
“ This work is part of the global project that Portugal’s Infrastructures is developing to requalify and duplicate IP3, a road axis of unquestionable regional importance and promoting territorial cohesion,” he added.
